TBG is dedicated to bringing financial and operational resources to lower middle-market companies.

We intend to focus our resources on companies that have or can establish defensible market positions, generate sustainable cash-flows, and exhibit high returns on operating capital. Select investment criteria typically include:

Privately held company, family business in transition, operating division of a large company or small public entity interested in privatization
Strong existing operating management team with either meaningful equity ownership or desire to have a meaningful stake
Distressed or Special Situations
Revenue between $10 - $200 million
Control-oriented transactions with values between $10 - $200 million
TBG investment / equity size between $5 - $25 million (additional co-investment capital up to an additional $25 million per transaction)

In order to execute transactions or make larger equity investments, TBG has established a few select, long-term relationships with financial partners that allow us to complete transactions up to $300 million. TBG can also co-lead investments in special situations alongside select equity partners in larger transactions.
