James L. Zech

Financial Services

Mr. Zech has over 23 years of financial services and insurance industry operating and investment experience. He has been the President of High Ridge Capital, LLC, a private investment firm focused on the insurance industry since its formation in 1995. From 2009 to 2010, Mr. Zech was Chief Executive Officer of Kinloch Holdings, Inc., a privately held brokerage holding company. From 2005 through 2009, Mr. Zech was a partner in Northaven Management, Inc., a private investment firm focused on the financial services industry. He has held a number of senior investment banking positions, at S.G. Warburg & Co., Inc. where he was responsible for forming the U.S. Insurance Group as part of the companyÍs worldwide financial institutions practice and also at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation.

John G. Troiano

Mr. Troiano is the Managing Partner, CEO and Co-Founder of TBG. Mr. Troiano has extensive experience in private equity, finance, turnarounds and restructurings, and portfolio company management and operations. He is the Chairman of the Investment Committee and manages TBG’s Industry Advisor network. He is the Chairman of the Boards of Directors of TBG Food Acquisition Corp. (“TBG FAC”), REVA, NorthStar Alarm, Ted’s Café, Direct Connect Holdings, LLC and is a member of the boards of Brite Media, LLC, Delaware Valley Management Holdings, Inc., OneWater Marine, New Vision Cinemas, and New England Management Services. Mr. Troiano also served as interim-CEO of TBG FAC during 2006 after its emergence from bankruptcy. Prior to co-founding TBG in 2004, Mr. Troiano was Partner and Managing Director of Onex' New York office where he was significantly involved in and managed some of Onex' most successful investments, such as SKY Chefs, Hidden Creek Industries and Celestica. Mr. Troiano began as one of two investment professionals in Onex' New York office in 1996, and grew the office to eight investment professionals by 2004. Mr. Troiano was promoted to Managing Director in 1999. Onex, which is a publicly-traded investment company with offices in New York and Toronto, is one of the oldest and most successful private equity firms and has portfolio companies which aggregate approximately $20 billion in aggregate revenues and approximately $10 billion in total capital under management. Prior to Onex, Mr. Troiano spent two years from 1992 to 1994 at Gleacher & Co., a mergers and acquisition boutique founded by Eric J. Gleacher, former worldwide head of M&A for Morgan Stanley & Co., and was at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in 1991 working with its Merchant Banking and Investment Banking groups. Mr. Troiano has significant transactional experience in the aviation, consumer products, financial services, healthcare, business services, restaurant, automotive, industrial and technology, media and telecommunications industries. Mr. Troiano received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, summa cum laude, with concentrations in Finance and Accounting. Mr. Troiano earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr. Troiano is on the board of two academic institutions, has sponsored oncological research for the treatment of terminal brain cancers, has endowed a perpetual scholarship for underprivileged middle school children in his hometown, and is also involved with various charitable organizations.

Andrew V. Marolda

Mr. Marolda is a Managing Director and Co-Founder of TBG. Mr. Marolda has substantial experience in private equity, turnarounds, operations, accounting and finance. Mr. Marolda is a member of the Investment Committee and has oversight responsibility for portfolio company operations and strategic improvement initiatives. Mr. Marolda is a member of the Boards of Directors of TBG FAC, REVA, Ted's CaféŽ, Delaware Valley Management and New England Management Services. Prior to co-founding TBG in 2004, Mr. Marolda held a number of senior operating roles with Fortune 500 companies including American Express where he managed financial structuring and analysis for the company's strategic equity investments, and Philips Electronics where he was responsible for corporate strategy, planning and analysis. He began his career as a CPA with Ernst & Young in 1991 providing audit services to clients in the financial services sector, and subsequently joined Ernst & Young's Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice advising distressed companies in Chapter 11 reorganizations, debt refinancing and business divestitures. He has diverse industry and transaction experience in healthcare, food and restaurants, information technology, consumer and financial services. Mr. Marolda received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, cum laude, with a concentration in Accounting and was elected a Joseph Wharton Scholar. Mr. Marolda earned an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management with Distinction and Dean's Honors.

Mr. Brown is a Managing Director of TBG. Mr. Brown has 20 years of experience in private equity, senior and subordinated debt investing and finance. Mr. Brown is a member of the Investment Committee and has responsibility for sourcing, evaluating, executing and monitoring TBG's investments. Mr. Brown is a member of the Board of Directors of REVA, NorthStar Alarm, Brite Media LLC, Direct Connect Holdings, LLC, Elite ISI, and Convenient Payments. Prior to joining TBG, Mr. Brown was a Principal at Patriot Capital Funding and its successor by merger, Prospect Capital Corporation. While at Patriot and Prospect, Mr. Brown sourced and led over 20 debt and equity investments in lower middle-market companies. Prior to joining Patriot, Mr. Brown was a Vice President in GE Capital's Global Sponsor Finance group, where he executed and monitored numerous debt investments in middle-market companies. Mr. Brown began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and spent time in both the Assurance and Transaction Services practices. Mr. Brown received a Bachelor of Science in Business at Lehigh University and an MBA with honors from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

Christopher J. Artinian

Mr. Artinian is a Managing Director of TBG.  He has over 25 years of restaurant and retail experience, with both private and public companies, and focuses primarily on TBG's restaurant and consumer services investments.  Mr. Artinian currently serves on the Board of Directors of TBG FAC and Ted's Cafe. Mr. Artinian joined Beekman after leading TooJay’s Gourmet Deli, Bakery, & Restaurant, serving as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer.  Prior to that, he served as President and CEO of Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill, and previously, was President and CEO of Morton's The Steakhouse, the largest fine dining brand in the world. Mr. Artinian was a success story at Morton's, starting in a back of the house kitchen position and rising through the ranks to eventually become the CEO of this leading publicly-traded steakhouse. Throughout his career Mr. Artinian has been recognized for leveraging his deep operational experience in developing winning strategies and exceptional teams. Passionate about the restaurant business, Mr. Artinian has provided key insight and commentary on the industry to numerous media outlets including CNBC, Fox Business and Bloomberg News, and is a sought-after guest speaker for industry conferences and events.

Mr. Clippard is a Principal at TBG and has over 10 years' experience in private equity, and senior and subordinated debt investing. Mr. Clippard is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, executing and monitoring TBG's investments. Mr. Clippard is a member of the board of directors of New Vision Cinemas, Direct Connect Holdings LLC, and Convenient Payments. Prior to joining TBG in 2016, Mr. Clippard was a private equity transaction professional at Prospect Capital Management, a private investment platform with approximately $6.5 billion under management. At Prospect, Mr. Clippard focused on middle market transactions in U.S.-based companies, particularly control investments in the industrial and business services sectors, including payment processing. Prior to joining Prospect, Mr. Clippard was a Principal at Circle Peak Capital where he executed private equity transactions in the consumer, financial services, and industrial sectors. Mr. Clippard began his career in equity derivatives at The Goldman Sachs Group (SLK unit) and The Bear Stearns Companies (Bear, Wagner unit). Mr. Clippard received a BA in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Clippard also studied at the London School of Economics.

Prior to Goode Partners, Mr. Caesar worked at Wells Fargo Securities in the Consumer and Retail Investment Banking Group in New York, NY, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising for a number of middle market, Fortune 500 and private equity clients. Alex Grzymala

Prior to joining TBG, Mr. Grzymala was an Associate at Goode Partners, a NYC-based middle-market private equity firm focused on the consumer and retail sectors. Prior to Goode, Mr. Grzymala worked at NYC-based private equity firm Altpoint Capital, where he worked on investments in the energy and telecommunications industries. Mr. Grzymala began his career working in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of middle-market investment bank Oppenheimer & Co., where he was a generalist focused on executing M&A and other financial advisory assignments for corporate clients. Mr. Grzymala holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University.

While at Gladstone, Mr. Kelemen evaluated, executed, and managed private equity transactions in the middle market across a variety of industries. Prior to Gladstone, Mr. Kelemen worked at Paul Capital Partners, where he focused on private equity secondaries investments. Mr. Kelemen received a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia and an MBA with honors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Kelemen is also a CFA Charterholder.

Prior to Sentinel, Mr. Manderscheid worked at McColl Partners, a middle-market investment bank where he focused on sell-side M&A advisory and private capital raising assignments. Mr. Manderscheid received his Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce with Distinction from the University of Virginia, and earned his MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Ms. Ermel is Vice President of Finance at TBG and manages Beekman's fund accounting, audit, tax and all other aspects of firm's financial reporting, HR, compliance and investor relations. Ms. Ermel joined TBG in 2015. Prior to joining TBG, Ms. Ermel spent two years at New York based private equity secondary fund of funds group Pomona Capital where she was responsible for every aspect of accounting and financial reporting for a $1.3 billion secondary fund. Prior to Pomona, Ms. Ermel worked for New York based asset management firm PineBridge Investments where she handled all aspects of accounting and administration for their private equity fund of funds group. Prior to PineBridge, Ms. Ermel spent three years as a senior accountant at Flag Capital where she was responsible for multiple private equity fund of funds. Ms. Ermel began her career at Ernst & Young providing audit services to clients in the financial services sector. Ms. Ermel holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting from Mercy College and a Diploma of Banking from Audentes University.
